Activities

In Ryre Park

In 2013 activities in Ryrie Park will consist of a wide range of Family Friendly activities which may include items such as;

Demonstrations of leather making, whip making, whip cracking, wool spinning, traditional woodcrafts, pioneer furniture manufacturing, blacksmithing. We have arranged once again for a wide range of the ever popular vintage engines, cars, tractors and trucks.

There will be crafts and trades from yesteryear and heaps of activities for people of all ages.

There is an amazing line up of entertainment with non-stop music all day. We have face painting, pony rides, beading, and a side show ally. Food and beverages to suit all tastes will be available all day.

The

Parade

Our Parade is back!

Our parade which was missing from last year’s Festival, is back this year. While there is a lot of paper work and a certain amount of drain on the meagre resources of the organizing Committee, it was considered too much a part of the Festival to be overlooked.

The parade this year will take place from Duncan St then up Wallace St turning into Wilson St where it will terminate. The parade will marshal at 12.45 in Duncan St (Ryrie St end) and set off at 1.00 pm.

The Committee is hoping to build the parade up this year so that 2014 can be built into something truly spectacular.

The parade starts at 1.00 pm.on Saturday with form up at 12.45 pm.

Entry to the parade is free.

If you would like to participate in the parade please contact us.
